Adding a logo can appear simple, but a private-label launch connects product specifications, trademarks, artwork, packaging, barcodes, claims and destination requirements. If these streams are handled in separate chats, the factory may receive approval to print before the product and legal details are final.

Confirm rights before production

The buyer should confirm its right to use the brand, designs and supplied content. Discuss confidentiality, ownership and permitted use with appropriate legal advice. The supplier should not be asked to copy another company's packaging or marks as a shortcut.

Separate product and artwork approvals

Approve the underlying product specification and sample independently from logo placement, colour, label text and packaging. Use revision-controlled files. A good visual mock-up does not prove that mandatory information, claims or product details are correct.

Build a complete approval sequence

Plan product sample, artwork proof, printed sample, packed example and final production check where relevant. Identify who approves each stage and what can be ordered before approval. Printing thousands of boxes before the product name or model is final creates avoidable waste.

Prepare for repeat orders

Store editable artwork, colour references, packaging specifications, approved samples and supplier records. Confirm how obsolete packaging is handled and how changes will be introduced. A repeat order should not depend on finding an old chat attachment.

Decision checklist

  • Brand and design permissions
  • Approved product specification
  • Artwork revision and data check
  • Printed and packed examples
  • Destination compliance review
  • Repeat-order file archive
